Justin arrives in Kansas

I managed to beat mapquest by 1hr. Jessica was very happy to see my ugly mug on the early side. I did have to throw pieces of bark at her window to wake her up though... I arrived in Lawrence around 3am EST. I tried to call her cell about 6 times and no luck, tried the doorbell was well. The end result was much better then sleeping in the truck. :) This was about 10hrs earlier then planned.

Here's my garanteed formula for beating mapquest: never stop to pee except when stopping for gas, only stop for gas when on empty, only stretch your legs when peeing.

Justin's Big Drive

I pulled out of the suburbia of Acworth early tue morning, May 16th 2006. My desination; Lawrence Kansas. Jessica would be waiting my arrival in Lawrence sometime in the afternoon of the 17th. I was feeling good, a bit of soylent green gurgleing in my gut (my affectionate name for barley grass powder). I could see the morning sky begining to burn. The truck was in ship shape, two bike's loaded in the back, all the assorted camping gear. I'm carrying two boards, my new 75l Exocet and the 95l RRD Twin Tip, I managed to cram all my sail quiver except the 5.7 into the trusty old Tule cargo box. Dad came by to give me a hug goodbye and I was off.
